The moment you step through the doors, you're enveloped in a warm, inviting atmosphere. As a food reviewer, I’m drawn to places with character, and Old Homestead has this in spades. After more years than I care to think (20 +), the Old Homestead has lost none of its charm or excellent skills with food - if anything, it gets better each time I visit. Special occassions or just to feel special when you are with that special friend, you cannot beat Old Homestead. There is not a bad choice on their rather extensive menu or wine list. PS - thank you Henry for taking the pictures and thank you, Donna, for joining us for a Photo Op. - Joe Albanese

The food and service were great. I've always wanted to come here and I'm glad to have finally crossed Old Homestead off my list. Iris was absolutely wonderful with her recommendations and conversation. We felt very much at home. Not a pretentious experience at all. Will come back on another date night. Portions were great too as we had a nice doggy bag after ordering half the menu.

We dined on a Sunday night for our son's bday. What a great overall dining experience. Food was fantastic. Drinks were great. The entire setting and vibe was great. On top of it all, our server, Iris, was awesome. She answered questions and gave recommendations, gave us some history on the oldest steakhouse in NY and was just an overall pleasure to deal with. This place is 100% worth it

Harry the server was tremendous. His customer service made my experience immensely pleasant. Thank you

Outstanding food and service. Totally professional. Extra shout to Henry. Looks like Telly Savalas but much cooler!!

My dad, mom, boyfriend and I came here for dinner around 4pm. The inside is dark and elegant. Upbeat music (maybe coming from the casino?) was playing. We ordered the meatball, stuffed scallop and the crab cake for apps. All very delicious - I liked the crab cake best. Large chunks of real crab. For my entree I tried the Chilean sea bass. It was buttery, flakey and delicious. I liked the crispy onions it was paired with. We ordered a delicious side of asparagus, brussel sprouts and mushrooms. Everything was really good - we were so full! The tequila old fashion was delicious. The Chardonnay was just ok. Our waiters were very attentive and kind. Was a lovely dinner, just needed a nap after!

Came here for my birthday and made reservations. Not too large of a restaurant, but its old school classic, charming decor makes it favorable. Located in the Chelsea area, it's Old Homestead Steak House. Great service but I did feel the place felt understaffed. They do not offer complimentary bread. We had the NY strip and Ribeye. Both steaks were cooked to our liking and seasoned so well. Instead of ordering side dishes, we shared the spicy Thai fried calamari, which was sweet and savory.

As always, a wonderful evening at the old homestead steakhouse. It's a place i've been coming to since i'm about six years old. The steaks are always on par, and their prime rib is out of this world. Iris made this a very wonderful evening and she was delightful from start to finish. Thanks again from bradley joseph marcia reisman. Happy Father's day
